Cosmetic surgery is an area of medicine uniquely designed to enhance one’s appearance through surgery and medical procedures.

Cosmetic surgeons are specifically concerned with aesthetically enhancing the chosen area to either maintain, restore or improve. Cosmetic surgery can be applied to the head, neck or body areas.

It is extremely important to understand that cosmetic surgery may not be the solution to an underlying problem, either physically or mentally and therefore it is important to discuss your reasons thoroughly with your consultant prior to any procedures taking place. Our Cosmetic Surgeons offer specialised expertise in patient education and counselling.

All of the specialists consultants at The Sefton Suite have a special skill and knowledge of the anatomy, physiology, pathology and basic sciences and with that provide a thorough all round service to their patients. Alongside this the contributing disciplines will include dermatology, facial plastic surgery, general surgery, gynaecological surgery and oculoplastic surgery with extensive post qualification education being undertaken to keep on top of new procedures and techniques.

Competency in Cosmetic Surgery implies a combination of clinical knowledge, surgical judgment, technical expertise and ethics in order to achieve the perfect aesthetic improvement.
