ENT
An ENT specialist is a consultant who deals specifically with ear, nose, throat and areas around the head and neck. This area of the body potentially has a number of interconnecting symptoms that could occur and our specialists are highly trained in diagnosing and then successfully dealing with any medical or surgical issue.
The Ear
Treatment of the ear including ear infections, hearing disorders, balance disorders, facial and cranial nerve disorders and management of birth and cancerous disorders of the outer and inner ear, are the unique speciality of the ENT specialist. Our consultants are trained extensively in all areas and understand the potential pain and discomfort that can occur.
The Nose
The nasal cavity and sinus area are one of the primary skills of an ENT specialist. Management of disorders relating to the nasal cavity and sinuses, along with allergies, sense of smell, breathing issues, swallowing and external appearance of the nose are all areas each of our ENT specialist will have experience and extensive knowledge in.
The Head and Neck
In the head and neck area, an ENT consultant is highly trained in how to treat tumours, both malignant and benign, infectious diseases, facial trauma and deformalities of the face. Our consultants are also extensively experienced in both cosmetic plastic and reconstructive surgery.
At the Sefton Suite we have a range of consultants who deal specifically with this area and we ask that should you have any questions relating to this branch of medicine and the symptoms you are experiencing you arrange an appointment and speak with our consultants directly.
