Psychiatry

Psychiatry is the area of medicine which deals with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mental health disorders. 

Patients seek psychiatric help for a number of reasons including panic attacks, hallucinations, hearing voices or thoughts of suicide. Other long term reasons may be depression, loneliness, variances to thoughts etc.

Diagnosis of a psychiatric patient can require a mixture of medical testing and simply sitting down with the patient and discussing their personal situations.
